Welcome to the latest of my monthly Photo-a-Day collections. 2021 is passing fairly quickly, and we are still in Lockdown 3.0 in the UK.  I am a member of two Photo a Day groups: FMSPad that is a freely joinable group, which these posts share, and the Pixxxls group that is an invite only group.  Pixxxls did an alphabet month in February, and FMS is alphabet month in March.  For the Pixxxls group I did an overarching theme to include Grogu (aka Baby Yoda, The Child) from The Mandalorian (which I absolutely adore).  The photos went down really well with the group, and were shared on my instagram feed with the #pixxxls, and I suddenly felt that I wanted to repeat them in a different group, which I’ve not done before, as I’m really proud of them.  There may well be some changes on photos that I felt didn’t work or could have been improved.

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoy taking them. Let me know.

I don’t really like to swear, but there are times when it is very satisfying to do it.

March 28th – My age

OK so how was I going to show my age, with out giving it away?

Well these were some of my original Star Wars toys, and the Empire Strikes Back was the first of the films I saw in the cinema (although I have a memory of a seeing Star Wars and Empire back to back at the cinema.

These are Han Solo and Princess Leia in their Bespin outfits.

March 29th – My fave spot

Fountain’s Abbey of course, although this is the background on my laptop rather than the real place.

And being in the arms of someone you love is also a favourite spot.

March 30th – My fave book

Well this was a challenge, a favourite book?  Singular…?  Well that’s impossible.

But I know that this is a classic that I adore, and the BBC adaptation, and the films and the film soundtracks…  This is also the original edition (technically belongs to my brother) but I also have the two single volume, versions, a  kindle version, and a six volume set that tied in with the original film.  So you could say it’s a favourite.

March 31st – I’m proud of…

I’m really quite proud of being able to have a go at many things, and this day I spent an afternoon re-upholstering a kneeling stool.  I wasn’t sure I was going to get it completed, but this is the calico under layer.

An alternative for my Age, this time it would have been Return of the Jedi…

So that’s the end of Grogu’s Alphabet Month, with a few extra.  It was great fun to do, although it limited me a little bit in what I could do.  I wasn’t chosen for any of the Fab Four photos this month, sadly, but I know the group appreciated the pictures.

Vaguely normal service will resume next month.  Especially after Monday 12th April 2021, which is when I’ll be (hopefully) returning to work as this third Lockdown comes to an end.

Thanks for reading this, my lovely interonauts,

Tim
