Well, this month is a slightly stange one, as there were no prompts: it was a Free Choice month. This meant that we could choose whatever photo we wanted to share. Many people included their own theme over the top of it.
October 1st
This is a large art installation that I pass on my way to the Clerkenwell Clinic. It invites people to sit on it and relax, however this day it was fenced off.
October 2nd
This person is obviously expecting bad weather: they’re four floors up. Seen on my way to the train station.
October 3rd
Getting ready for work, the top of the beard oil bottle caught my eye.
October 4th

October 5th
A man on a crane taking a short break in creating some art.
My good deed for the day was, on the way back from the shops, to tell him that he’d spelt Einstein wrong. He was really grateful for me telling him, as he lives just round the corner and would have been mortified at the error and would have needed to hire the crane again to correct it.
October 6th
The morning light was coming through the window (yes, it needs cleaning) and illuminating the tops of some of my pitcher plants.
October 7th
Some orchid flowers that have died and dried, this is the newer of my orchids (bought this year).
October 8th
I spotted this bucket labelled “Dynamite” when I was walking around the Walthamstow Wetlands. I’m not sure that the anglers allow the use of TNT in their fishing.
October 9th
Ah, the Walthamstow Wetlands… A happy place for me, where I can imagine I’m no longer in the city…
October 10th
A chance photo taken on my commute to Stanmore as I was changing trains at Wembley Park station. I had ended up at the back of the train (whereas I normally sit towards the front) and managed to spot this and grab a quick photo. Just as well I did as this was selected as one of the Fab Four today (which I find especially amazing as the free choice month allows some amazing photographs to be shared.)
October 11th
I don’t know what it is about our snails, but they really do like climbing our windows… I’m not sure if we’re host to some sort of Ninja training school for snails…
October 12th
A quick trip to God’s Own Junkyard in Walthamstow for a Hot Chocolate and Cake, and a few photographs. It’s an amazing sight.
October 13th
I love the ceiling of King’s Cross Station, and this purply-blue colour is just amazing.
And just as amazing and wonderful, this was another photo selected as a daily Fab Four, which I am deeply honoured by.

Autumn is here and the leaves are changing colours…

Some street art seen on my way into work (really irritated by the wire trailing across it)

Autumn is here, and the leaves are falling. I just love the colours that they can contain, and edged with dampness makes them pop.
October 18th
A squirrel was nosing around the metal bars of the sculpture I photographed for 1st October, as it was being taken down.
October 19th
I was running a Reiki Level 1 Attunement on this day, so my diffuser was running to energetically cleanse the room. For Fire regulations, I’m not allowed to burn incense so this is my compromise (I use Frankincense and Lemon)

Walking to the local Farmer’s Market I spotted this Virginia Creeper doing its spectacular Autumn thing, and with the bright blue sky behind it made it very striking. Believe it or not there is not filter applied to this photo.

More street art seen on my way to work (Whitecross Street has some interesting stuff). I’m not sure if this artist likes the Police…

…the weighing of the dried fruit (and the soaking in brandy) before baking this year’s Christmas cake…

This might be the start of posts that are suitable for Hallowe’en… Some live music seen in Islington.
October 25th
Light catching a spider’s web spun between the pitcher’s of one of the sarracenia plants (see 6th October above for another view of it). The spider is actually hiding inside the pitcher to the left.
I immediately think of fascia when I see creations like this. Nature really is beautiful.
October 26th
Waiting for a train at Baker Street…
…I normally don’t stop here on my way to/from Stanmore, but I had to and saw why lots of people take photos of the platforms.
October 27th
Following on from the 22nd, here’s the assembled ingredients for this year’s Christmas Cake, which I’m sure will feature in a number of photographs on my Instagram feed and maybe more FMS PaD pictures.

Swinging back around to a Hallowe’en flavour, here’s a floral skull found at God’s Own Junkyard in Walthamstow.

It’s Hallowe’en so of course it had to be a skull. This was the mascot at the John F Barnes’ Myofascial Release Fascial Cranium seminar I took in September in Cape Cod.
