What is Pregnancy Massage?
You’re supposed to be knitting booties, but all you can think about is your aching back and swollen feet. And you’re feeling stressed and grumpy, so why not treat yourself to a little bit of ‘you’ time?
A gentle, calming massage ease aches and pains and supports the physical changes your body’s going through. You’ll feel human again in no time.
Pregnancy Massage helps with the following:
- Lower Back Ache: Weight gain and hormonal changes strain the joints of your pelvis and lower back and put pressure on your nerves and blood vessels.
- Water Retention: Your body produces extra blood and fluid to accommodate your baby’s needs, but it’s uncomfortable and puts a strain on your circulatory system.
- Tension and Stress: Feeling overwhelmed is perfectly common, difficult to deal with and exhausting. A gentle massage soothes and relaxes, leaving you refreshed and revitalised.
What to expect during your treatment
You’ll be nice and comfy during the session. I’ll use several pillows to support you in whatever position feels best, and I’ll apply gentle pressure on your back whilst keeping stress on your body to a minimum.
It may be possible to use some of my other therapies in your treatment. They can be adapted to your needs and we’ll discuss this together.
Massage is a wonderful support during pregnancy, but it doesn’t replace the care of your doctor. If you have any concerns (especially sharp pains at the front of the pelvis) please check with your GP to make sure this is right for you.

Pregnancy Massage Testimonials
Nine months after I had a baby, all the lifting, holding, and carrying had left me unable to lift my right arm above 45 degrees without massive pain. 60 minutes with Tim and I had full range of painless movement back – amazing!!
